Police are on the lookout for the husband of a woman found shot to death inside an SUV in Fordham Heights on Oct. 4.

Officers from the 52nd Precinct were called to 2525 Morris Ave., between East 190 and East 192 Street’s near St. James Park, before 7:45 a.m. on Oct. 4, where they discovered the body of a 27 year-old woman in the passenger seat of a gray Chevrolet SUV.

Officials later identified the woman as Jennifer Ortiz of Belmont, adding the mother of four had been shot one time in the head and died at the scene.

Hours later police released a photo of Ortiz’ husband Amauri Perdomo, 31, who is now wanted in connection with her killing.

Residents reported hearing a barrage of gunfire, as many as a dozen shots before police arrived.

Police said Perdomo has an extensive police record, including a weapons possession charge in 2009. Perdomo is described as a male black, 6 feet tall, 230 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.

In an unrelated incident, the body of a second woman was discovered Sunday morning along Pelham Parkway North and the Bronx River Parkway. Officials stated that the body had no obvious signs of trauma and that the medical examiner would determine the cause of death.

The deaths come amid Domestic Violence Month, which spreads awareness on the dangers of domestic violence.

Anyone with any information on this incident is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1 (800) 577-TIPS, all calls remain confidential.
