Woman Attacks Mother & Daughter, 10, Aboard Subway, Punching Them in Face

The NYPD is asking for the public’s help identifying the woman seen in the attached photos who is sought in connection to an assault that occurred on a mother and daughter, while in transit in the Foxhurst section of The Bronx, a neighborhood south of Charlotte Gardens.

 

Police from the 41st Precinct said it was reported to them that on Tuesday, Oct. 18, at around 4.37 p.m., the victims, a 36-year-old woman and her 10-year-old daughter, were standing aboard the northbound 5 train at the Westchester Avenue and Simpson Street subway station, when a woman began punching them in the face and mouth with a closed fist.

 

The assailant then got off the train at the Simpson Street subway station and left. Both victims were transported to Jacobi Medical Center in stable condition, suffering from pain to the face and mouth.

The assailant is described as a woman in her 40s with a medium build, is around 5 feet 8 inches tall, weighs around 215 pounds, has short, black hair, and was last seen wearing a black jacket and black sunglasses.

Photos of the assailant are attached and were obtained from the incident location, in transit.
