Williamsbridge: Two Gunmen Sought following Multiple Nonfatal Shooting

The identity of two gunmen is sought by the NYPD following a “reckless endangerment” incident (shooting) that occurred in Williamsbridge. Police are seeking the public’s help identifying and locating the two people seen in the attached video footage who are sought for questioning in connection to the shooting.

It was reported to police that on Sunday, Sept. 25, at around 2.39 p.m. in the vicinity of Holland Avenue and Magenta Street, two unidentified “males” riding a moped, fired multiple shots into Magenta Park. “There were no reported injuries as a result of this incident,” an NYPD spokesperson said. “The individual[s] fled the location northbound on Barnes Avenue towards East 220 Street.”

“Reckless endangerment” is a criminal offense that makes it illegal to act in a way that puts others in danger or the property of others in danger. A person faces a reckless endangerment charge even if the person does not actually harm another person or damage property.

The first assailant who fired the gun is described as male, has a dark complexion, and was last seen wearing gray clothing. The second is also described as male, also has a dark complexion and was last seen wearing a blue, hooded sweatshirt.

A surveillance video showing the two is attached and was obtained from the incident location.

Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or, for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782). The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the CrimeStoppers website at https://crimestoppers.nypdonline.org/ or on Twitter @NYPDTips. All calls are strictly confidential.
