Williamsbridge: Murder Investigation Opens as 21-Year-Old Shot in Chest

Police are investigating a homicide, following receipt of a 911 call regarding an assault in progress at 3014 Wallace Avenue in the Williamsbridge section of The Bronx, located in the 47th precinct. The call came in on Thursday, April 15, 2021, at approximately 12.30 in the afternoon.

Upon arrival, officers encountered a 21-year-old man with gunshot wounds to the chest. EMS also responded to the scene and transported him to NYC Health and Hospitals/Jacobi where he was pronounced deceased. There are no arrests and the investigation is ongoing. The name of the deceased is being withheld pending family notification.
