Building applications have been filed with New York City Department of Buildings (DOB) for a new, 7-story, mixed-use building at 1039 East Gun Hill Road in the Williamsbridge section of The Bronx, as reported by YIMBY.

Located between Laconia Avenue and Paulding Avenue, the lot is within walking distance of the Gun Hill Road subway station, serviced by the 2 and 5 trains. Alex Lakaj of RBA Developers LLC is listed as the owner behind the applications, according to DOB’s records.

The proposed 70-foot-tall development will yield 53,599 square feet, with 52,075 square feet designated for residential space and 1,524 square feet for community facility space, as reported by YIMBY. The building will have 79 residential units, most likely rentals based on the average unit scope of 659 square feet. The concrete-based structure will also have a basement, a 54-foot-long rear yard, and 40 open parking spaces.

Fred Geremia Architects & Planners is listed as the architect of record.

Demolition permits have not yet been filed yet, and an estimated completion date for the new building has not yet been announced.
