NYC Department of Housing, Preservation & Development (HPD) is reminding residents that an affordable housing lottery is open for units at 3029 and 3031 Bronxwood Avenue, a pair of four-story, residential buildings in the Williamsbridge section of The Bronx, as reported by YIMBY.
According to NYC Housing Connect, HPD’s online portal, the building, described by HPD as a “luxury building,” with “gorgeous large apartments,” was designed by Badaly Architects and developed by Mike Bonfiglio, and the structures yield 16 residential units in total, eight at 3029 Bronxwood Avenue and eights at 3031 Bronxwood Avenue. Available on NYC Housing Connect are six units for residents earning 130 percent of the area median income (AMI), which ranges in eligible income from $74,229 to $156,130.
According to the website, Reside New York, residential units come with name-brand, kitchen appliances, hardwood floors, air conditioning, smart controls for heating and cooling, and energy-efficient appliances. Tenants are responsible for electricity, which includes stove, heat, and hot water.
At 130 percent of the AMI, there is one studio with a monthly rent of $2,165 for those on incomes ranging from $74,229 to $138,840, and five one-bedroom units with a monthly rent of $2,195 for residents on incomes ranging from $75,258 to $156,130.
Prospective renters must meet income and household size requirements to apply for these apartments, according to HPD officials. Applications must be postmarked or submitted online no later than April 3, 2023.
To request an application by mail, send a self-addressed envelope to 3029 and 3031 Bronxwood Avenue Apartments, C/O Reside New York, 349 Keap Street, Brooklyn, NY 11211. The building is anticipated to receive a tax exemption through HPD’s 421a tax incentive program, according to HPD officials.
