NYC Department of Housing, Preservation & Development (HPD) has launched a housing lottery described as affordable for units at 130 East 177th Street, a 12-story residential building in the Mt. Hope section of The Bronx, as reported by YIMBY.
Designed by Marin Architects and developed by HMC Inc, the structure yields 78 residential units. Available on NYC Housing Connect, HPD’s online portal, are 24 units for residents earning 130 percent of the area median income (AMI), ranging in eligible income from $84,309 to $218,010.
Amenities include a shared laundry room, gym, recreation room, virtual doorman, and a rooftop terrace. Units are equipped with air conditioning, smart controls for heating and cooling, and name-brand kitchen appliances, countertops, and finishes. Tenants are responsible for electricity including stove and heat.
At 130 percent of the AMI, there are ten studios available, with a monthly rent of $2,459 for those on incomes ranging from $72,000 to $124,150; 12 one-bedroom units with a monthly rent of $2,495 for residents with incomes ranging from $85,543.00 to $181,740; and two two-bedroom units with a monthly rent of $2,495 for those on incomes ranging from $85,543 to $218,010.
Prospective renters must meet income and household size requirements to apply for these apartments. Applications must be postmarked or submitted online no later than May 30.
