Williamsbridge 31-Year-Old Woman Dies in Fatal Shooting

A 31-year-old woman has died following a shooting in the Williamsbridge section of The Bronx, police said. It follows news, as reported, of a 17-year-old who was stabbed in Williamsbridge on April 1 and of a 27-year-old man who was fatally shot in Belmont the same day.

 

Of the fatal shooting in Williamsbridge, police said that on Tuesday, April 1, at around 11.07 p.m., officers from the 47th Precinct responded to a 911 call regarding an assault in progress inside 3442 Mickle Avenue.

 

“Upon arrival, officers observed a 31-year-old female with a gunshot wound to the head,” police said. “EMS responded and pronounced the aided deceased on scene. There are no arrests, and the investigation remains ongoing.” They said the deceased has been identified as Jessica Hoyle, of Williamsbridge, The Bronx.
