Williamsbridge: 3-Year-Old Child Hit by Scooter, Driver Flees the Scene

The NYPD is asking for the public’s help locating the person (and vehicle) wanted in connection with leaving the scene of a collision that occurred in the Williamsbridge section of The Bronx in which a 3-year-old child was injured.

 

Police said that on Friday, Nov. 29, at around 1.05 p.m., a 3-year-old female victim was walking in front of 3041 Holland Avenue when she was struck by a two-wheeled vehicle riding on the sidewalk, driven by an unknown male individual.

 

“EMS responded and transported the victim to NYC Health and Hospitals/Jacobi for minor injuries,” a police spokesperson said. “The wanted individual fled on the vehicle northbound on Holland Avenue to parts unknown.”

Police said the suspect is described as male, has a heavy build, and a medium complexion. They said he was last seen wearing an orange jacket, black sweatpants, and black sandals. They said the vehicle was described as a moped scooter, blue in color, with black stripes on the side.
