Williamsbridge: 17-Year-Old Stabbed on East Gun Hill Road

A 17-year-old male has  been stabbed in the Williamsbridge section of The Bronx, police said.

 

Police said that on Tuesday, April 1, at around 9.39 a.m., police responded to a 911 call regarding a male who had been stabbed at 910 East Gun Hill Road, outside Citi Medical. “Upon arrival, officers observed a 17-year-old-male with a stab wound to the leg,” a police spokesperson said. “The victim was transported by EMS to NYC Health and Hospitals/Jacobi in stable condition. At this time the investigation is ongoing.”

 

It had been reported by News 12 The Bronx that the victim is a student at local high school, Evander Childs, located at 800 East Gun Hill Road. Norwood News has reached out to both the NYPD and NYC Department of Education (DOE) to ask if this is the case and for a comment. We will share any updates we receive.
