West Farms: Person Sought for Attempted Kidnapping of 2-Year-Old Child

The NYPD is asking for the public’s help identifying and locating the person seen in the attached photos who they said is wanted in connection with an attempted kidnapping that occurred in West Farms.

 

Police said that on Tuesday, Oct. 15, at around 6.50 p.m., an unidentified person followed a 23-year-old woman and her 2-year-old child into a laundry room located at 988 East 180th Street.

 

“While inside, the unidentified individual grabbed the victim by the arm and demanded she give her the child,” police said. “The victim was able to get away from the unidentified individual. The child remained safe and secure with the mother.” Police said the person sought fled in the elevator and exited on the 12th floor. They said there were no injuries sustained during the incident.
