With nice weather and the start of the unofficial summer season approaching the recognizable red signs that read “No Barbecuing in this Area” have been taken out of storage and officially put up along Mosholu Parkway and other neighboring parks by the city Parks Department.

There are only a few red signs placed in obscure locations along the parkway, which was said to be a problem last year. This is the second year the signs have been installed before Memorial Day Weekend as opposed to past years when the signs weren’t put up until early July.

Although illegal, year after year families choose Mosholu’s green space as their barbecue spot for the summer. Firing up the grill next to the parkway is viewed as not only a fire hazard, but also leads to a big littering problem for local residents.

Police will not be issuing tickets, but warnings to those spotted barbecuing in these restricted areas. The closest place to Mosholu Parkway to legally barbecue is Van Courtland Park, in specifically designated pit areas.

What part of “No Barbecuing In This Area” do these ghetto turds not understand?

And we have to love de Blasio’s new way of handling things – no tickets, just a warning. Eff that – ticket them, confiscate ALL of their crap. Let them go to the precinct complaining.

I’m so sick of these ghetto aholes ruining every damn neighborhood they step foot it.
