Wakefield: Woman and 8-Year-Old Boy Found Deceased inside Home, with 4-Year-Old Girl Found Alive

A 38-year-old woman and an 8-year-old boy have been found deceased inside a home in Wakefield police said. A 4-year-old girl was also found inside the location and is alive.

 

Police said that on Friday, April 18, at around 8.26 p.m., officers from the 47th Precinct responded to a 911 call for an aided person at 683 East 231st street.

 

“Upon arrival, officers found a 38-year-old female and an 8-year-old male unconscious and unresponsive inside that location,” a police spokesperson said. “EMS responded and transported the two individuals. They pronounced them deceased on scene. Upon further investigation, a four-year-old female was also present at the location.”

The spokesperson added, “She was transported by EMS to Montefiore Medical Center Wakefield campus for further medical examination. She is stable at the location. The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner will determine the cause of death for those individuals. There are no arrests and the investigation remains ongoing.”
