Two people incurred minor injuries following a fire on Dec. 16 in the Wakefield section of The Bronx.
An FDNY spokesperson said the department received a call at 4.19 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 16, at 4368 Furman Avenue between East 237th Street and Nereid Aveue for reports of a stove fire in a three-story multiple dwelling (20×50).
The spokesperson said two fire units, comprising 60 fire and EMS personnel responded to the blaze in which two civilians were injured. They said the fire was brought under control at 4.54 p.m. and the cause remains under investigation.

As reported, the Wakefield fire took place on the same evening as several emergency services units were called to address a separate burst water mains pipe that caused major flooding and havoc to both residents and local businesses in the vicinity of Webster Avenue, East 201st Street, Mosholu Parkway South, and Bedford Park Boulevard in Norwood / Bedford Park.
