The NYPD is asking for the public’s assistance identifying the person seen in the attached video and photo who they said is sought in connection to a robbery that occurred in Wakefield.
Police that on Sunday, Sept. 15, at around 11.10 a.m., a 42-year-old female victim was sitting on the southbound 2 train at the Nereid Avenue station when she was approached by an unknown individual who forcibly snatched three chains from around the victim’s neck as the train doors were closing. They said the suspect then fled to parts unknown, and the victim sustained minor scratches to the neck but refused medical attention.
