Wakefield: Person Sought for Assault of Woman Aboard BX39

The NYPD is asking for the public’s help identifying the person seen in the attached photo and video who they say is wanted in connection with an assault that occurred in Wakefield.

 

Police said that on Saturday, Dec. 14, at around 10.10 a.m., a 37-year-old woman was on a BX39 bus in front of 865 East 241st Street, when she was approached by a person unknown to her. They said a verbal dispute ensued and escalated when the person punched the victim in the face and then fled northbound on East 241st Street.

Police said the victim was transported to NYC Health and Hospitals/ North Central Bronx in stable condition.
