Wakefield: Man Sought for Robbery in Subway Station

The NYPD is asking for the public’s help locating the person seen in the attached photo who they say is sought in connection with a robbery that occurred in Wakefield.

 

Police said that on Saturday, July 22, at around 8.20 a.m., a 25-year-old woman was buying a MetroCard at the 225th Street Subway Station, which serves the 2 train. They said while she was using the machine, a person approached her and removed her cellphone from her back pocket. The person then fled the station in an unknown direction. “The victim did not sustain any injuries as a result of the incident,” police said.
