Wakefield: Man Slashed in Face with Glass Bottle Gets 40 Stitches

The NYPD is asking for the public’s help identifying the person seen in the attached screenshot and video who is sought for questioning regarding an assault that occurred in Wakefield.

 

Police said that on Saturday, March 4, at 8.05 p.m. inside a deli located at 4402 White Plains Road, an unidentified male approached a 35-year-old male victim and after a verbal dispute, the suspect struck the victim in the face with a glass bottle.

 

“The victim was removed to St. Barnabas Hospital with severe injuries to his lip and cheek, requiring over 40 stiches,” a police spokesperson said, adding that the suspect fled the location on foot, in an unknown direction.

The attached video of the suspect was obtained from the vicinity of the incident location, according to police.
