An affordable housing lottery is open for units at a newly constructed, smoke-free building at 639 East 224th Street in the Wakefield section of The Bronx, according to NYC Housing Connect, NYC Department of Housing, Preservation & Development (HPD)’s online portal.
The building is located in the Kingston neighborhood, and features three units which include high-end amenities, according to HPD. To request an application by mail, send a self-addressed envelope to 639 East 224th Street Apartments c/o iAfford NY LLC, Brooklyn Navy Yard, building 77 FL 13 Suite 1315, 141 Flushing Avenue, Brooklyn, NY 11205.
Tenants are responsible for electricity, including electric heat, hot water and stove.
The building is anticipated to receive a tax exemption through the 421a tax incentive program of HPD.
