Wakefield: 36-Year-old Man Treated at Jacobi after Assault & Robbery

The NYPD is asking for the public’s assistance locating two unidentified men seen in the attached video who are sought for questioning in connection with a robbery that occurred in Wakefield, located in the 47th precinct.

 

On Sunday, Oct. 24, at 00.20 a.m., the victim, a 36-year-old man, was standing in the lobby of his building, located in the vicinity of Lowerre Place and East 226th Street, when two unidentified men approached and forced their way into the lobby.

 

Once inside, the men punched and kicked the victim about his head and body, and then removed his wallet and Samsung Galaxy cellphone. The wallet contained $500. The men fled on foot and the victim suffered pain and bruising to his head and body, a laceration to his lip, and an avulsed tooth.

He later reported the incident to police, sought medical attention and was in stable condition at NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi.
