Van Nest: Man Sought after Woman is Groped at Subway Station

The NYPD is asking the public’s help identifying the person seen in the attached photos who they said is sought in connection with a groping incident that occurred in transit in the Van Nest neighborhood.  

 

Police said that on Friday, April 21, at around 10.18 p.m., a 35-year-old female victim was exiting the elevator to the southbound 2/5 train at the Morris Park Avenue and East 180th Street subway station when the suspect, who was unknown to the victim, grabbed her buttocks. He later fled on foot to parts unknown. No physical injuries were reported as a result of the incident.

 

The person sought is described as male, is approximately 40 years of age, is 5 feet, 9 inches tall, has a medium build, black hair and facial hair. He was last seen wearing a black Adidas hoodie, black shorts and gray sneakers.

The attached surveillance photos were obtained from the MTA, police said.
