Van Nest: 4-Year-Old Boy Falls from Balcony

Police have confirmed that a 4-year-old boy has fallen from a balcony at 1500 Noble Avenue in Van Nest on Saturday afternoon, July 24, and remains in a critical condition.

 

The incident is reported to have occurred at around 2.25 p.m. on Saturday. EMS responded and transported the child to Jacobi Hospital.

An NYPD spokesperson said the child was standing on the balcony of the 10th floor of the building, climbed over the balcony and fell down ten stories. He sustained severe trauma to his body.

 

Police said an adult male was present inside the apartment at the time and subsequently made his way out onto the balcony. They added that no criminality is suspected at this time.
