The Riverhead Town Police Department in upstate New York is asking for the public’s help locating Theodore A. Rourke, 43, of The Bronx who was reported missing by his mother, Judith Leavitt of Riverhead, NY, on Friday, Jan. 9.

They said that Leavitt reported that her last contact with her son was in mid-December 2024 and that she described Rourke as a white male, 5 feet, 8 inches tall, weighing 140 pounds, with balding, brown hair. Police said that Rourke was last seen in the area of 2700 Marion Avenue in the Bedford Park section of The Bronx in mid to late December 2024.

They said Rourke has no ties to Long Island and has lived at 2700 Marion Avenue for the last seven years approximately. They said although no foul play is suspected, Rourke is diagnosed with schizophrenia.

They ask anyone with information regarding Rourke’s whereabouts to contact the Riverhead Police Department at (631) 727-4500 and said all calls will be kept confidential.
