Police said that on Monday, Jan. 23, at around. 4.18 p.m., police responded to a 911 call regarding an aided, unconscious male who was inside an apartment building located on Doris Street.

 

“Prior to the arrival of police, EMS responded to the location and transported an unconscious and unresponsive 15-year-old male to NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi, where he was pronounced deceased,” an NYPD spokesperson said. “Further investigation revealed the male victim had sustained trauma to the neck area.”

 

Police said the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner will determine the cause of death, and added that a 28-year-old man is being questioned in connection to the incident.

 

The deceased has been identified as Corde Scott of Doris Street in Westchester Square in The Bronx.

 

Police said on April 5, Tyresse Minter, 28, of the South Bronx was arrested in connection with the incident and was charged  with manslaughter and criminally negligent homicide, as reported.

 

A person arrested and charged with a crime is deemed innocent unless and until convicted in a court of law.
