UPDATE West Farms: Police Appeal to Public for Help Locating Man Sought after Fatal Shooting

Police are seeking the public’s help locating the man seen in the attached photo who they say is wanted for questioning in connection to an investigation into the fatal shooting of a 28-year-old man in the West Farms section of The Bronx last year.

 

As reported, an NYPD spokesperson said that on Saturday, Dec. 21, at around 6.15 p.m., officers from the 48th Precinct received a 911 call regarding a man who had been shot in front of 1295 Rodman Place. “Upon arrival, officers observed a 28-year-old male with a gunshot wound to the face and chest,” the spokesperson said. “Police transported the 28-year-old male to St. Barnabas where he was subsequently pronounced deceased.”

NYPD DETECTIVES SAID on Feb. 10, 2025, that they have identified Anthony Riser, 27, as a person of interest in the murder of a 28-year-old man in West Farms on Dec. 21, 2024, and are asking the public for help locating Riser for questioning in connection with the incident.

Police said there were no arrests at the time and the investigation remained ongoing. The deceased was later identified as Richard Spigner, 28, of Rodman Place, The Bronx.

 

On Feb. 10, pursuant to an ongoing investigation, detectives said they identified Anthony Riser, 27, as a person of interest in the case and said he is wanted for questioning in connection with the incident.

 

Riser is presumed innocent unless and until convicted in a court of law.
