The NYPD released photos on Nov. 28 of a vehicle which they are attempting to identify and locate in the context of a murder investigation following the fatal shooting of a 23-year-old man in Wakefield on Thanksgiving Day.
Police officials from the 47th Precinct said that on Thursday, Nov. 24, at around 8.41 p.m., police responded to a 911 call of shots fired in the vicinity of Bronxwood Avenue and East 233rd Street.
“Upon arrival, officers observed a 23-year-old male, unconscious, with a gunshot wound to the neck,” a police spokesperson said. “EMS responded and transported the aided male to NYC Health and Hospitals/Jacobi, where he was pronounced deceased.”
There are no arrests and the investigation is ongoing, police said.
The deceased was identified as Elijah Dukuray of East 143rd Street in the Mott Haven section of The Bronx.
On Nov. 28, the NYPD released two photos (attached) of a vehicle reportedly connected to the incident. The department is asking for the public’s assistance identifying and locating the vehicle. The license plates last seen on the vehicle were New York plates “K14NUZ.”
