UPDATE Wakefield: NYPD Release Video following Fatal Shooting of Jeffrey Pierre

The NYPD is asking the public for assistance in locating and identifying the individual seen in the attached video and photos who is sought for questioning in connection to the murder of Jeffrey Pierre, 42, in the Wakefield section of The Bronx earlier this month. Police released the video and photos on Dec. 31.

 

As reported, NYPD officials said that on Thursday, Dec. 22, at approximately 11.52 p.m., police officers responded to a call regarding an incident at 4609 White Plains Road. “Upon arrival, a 42-year-old male was discovered with multiple gunshot wounds to his torso,” a police spokesperson said. “EMS responded and transported the male to Jacobi Hospital where he was later pronounced deceased.”

There were no immediate arrests and the investigation is active and ongoing, police said.

 

The victim was later identified as Pierre from the Edenwald section of The Bronx.

The person sought is described as a man in his 40s with short braids and a beard who was last seen wearing a gray, hooded Nike jacket, gray sweatpants, white sneakers and a book bag. He was last seen fleeing in a gray Jeep with yellow NYC license plates.
