As reported, according to the NYPD, on Sunday, Feb. 23, at around 3.23 a.m., officers from the 47th Precinct responded to a 911 call regarding a person who had been stabbed in front of 4609 White Plains Road.
“Upon arrival, officers were informed a 30-year-old male was stabbed in the abdomen by an unidentified individual after a verbal dispute,” a police spokesperson said. “The individual fled the location in an unknown vehicle northbound on White Plains Road.”
Police said the victim was transported to Montefiore Medical Center by private means, where he was subsequently pronounced deceased. They said there were no arrests, and the investigation remains ongoing.
Police later identified the deceased as Daniel Hammonds of Yonkers.
