Three people have been arrested following a homicide on the Norwood/Olinville border, police said. The NYPD had been looking for the people seen in the attached video in connection with the incident.
Police said that on Monday, Jan. 11, 2021, at 11.47 p.m., inside 3560 Webster Avenue, opposite Woodlawn cemetery, a man wearing a blue jacket shot at two individuals on the 9th floor hallway of the building, and then proceeded to the 8th floor of the building where he shot another victim, who later succumbed to his injuries.
Police said the suspects then fled the scene on foot in an unknown direction.
On Jan. 15, pursuant to an ongoing investigation, police confirmed that Desire Louree, 19, of Webster Avenue was arrested and charged with murder. They said Deshaun Grier, 21, also of Webster Avenue, was also arrested and charged with criminal possession of a weapon.
The New York City Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance identifying the individuals seen in the attached video who they say are sought in connection with a homicide that occurred inside a residential building located at 3560 Webster Avenue on the Norwood/Olinville border on Monday, Jan. 11, 2021.
On Jan. 19, 2021, pursuant to an ongoing investigation, police said an unnamed 15-year-old male was also arrested in connection with the shooting. They said he was charged with murder, two counts of attempted murder, and two counts of criminal possession of a firearm.
The deceased was identified as Kahlik Grier, 16, of Webster Avenue.
