UPDATE Police Officer Arrested on DWI Charge in 50th Precinct

An off-duty New York City employee was arrested and charged in the 50th Precinct on Saturday, police said.

 

An NYPD spokesperson said that on Saturday, May 13, Eriverto Carino, 24, an off-duty NYPD Officer was arrested within the boundaries of the 50th Precinct, which falls under the command of Captain Filastine Srour and covers the neighborhoods of Kingsbridge, Marble Hill, Riverdale, Fieldston, and Spuyten Duyvil, as well as Van Cortlandt Park.

 

Carino was charged with driving while intoxicated or impaired.

 

Police said the officer was assigned to the recruit training section of the department.

 

A person arrested and charged with a crime is deemed innocent unless and until convicted in a court of law.
