One person was hospitalized after being hit by a vehicle in the Fordham Manor section of The Bronx on Friday, May 30, FDNY officials said.
An FDNY spokesperson said emergency services received a call at 3.34 p.m. on Friday for a report of a pedestrian who had been hit at West Fordham Road and Grand Avenue.

They said the person was transported to St. Barnabas Hospital and their description and condition was unknown.
We reached out to the NYPD for more details and a spokesperson said that on Friday, May 30, at 3.33 p.m., a pedestrian was struck in the vicinity of Grand Avenue and West Fordham Road, in the confines of the 52 Precinct.
“The report states that a 38-year-old female operating an Acura SUV (vehicle #1) was traveling southbound on Grand Avenue when she struck a 64-year-old female pedestrian,” the spokesperson said.
“While attempting to avoid striking the pedestrian, she collided into a Chevrolet truck (vehicle # 2) being operated by a 72-year-old female,” the spokesperson added.
“The operator of vehicle #2 reported that he was at the light when vehicle #1 collided into her vehicle while trying to avoid hitting the pedestrian. EMS responded and transported the pedestrian to St. Barnabas Hospital for an injury to her left leg.”

As reported, three people were hospitalized following a three-vehicle collision in Norwood also on Friday, May 30, accordiing to emergency services.
