UPDATE Olinville: Man Sought for Questioning after Woman 39 is Fatally Stabbed

Police have released photos of a person of interest sought for questioning following the fatal stabbing of a 39-year-old woman in the Olinville section of The Bronx.

 

As reported, officers from the 47th Precinct said they received a 911 call regarding an assault in progress on White Plains Road and East 220th Street on Friday, July 7, at approximately 9.35 p.m.

 

“Upon arrival, police discovered a 39-year-old female with stab wounds to her torso,” a police spokesperson said. “EMS responded and transported the aided to NYC Health and Hospitals/ Jacobi, where she was pronounced deceased. There have been no arrests made and the investigation is ongoing.”

The identity of the deceased is being withheld pending family notification.
