UPDATE Marble Hill: 44-Year-Old Man Dies in Fatal Stabbing

A 44-year-old man has died following a fatal stabbing in Marble Hill.

 

Police said that on Tuesday, Sept. 12, at around 6.29 p.m., officers responded to a 911 call regarding an assault in front of 130 West 228th Street. “Upon arrival, officers observed a 44-year-old male victim with multiple stab wounds throughout the body,” a police spokesperson said. “The victim was transported to New York-Presbyterian Hospital by EMS where he was pronounced deceased.”

 

Police said there are no arrests and the investigation is ongoing. The deceased has been identified as Juan Martinez, of West 228th Street in Marble Hill.

 

Police have launched a murder inquiry into the incident.
