UPDATE Man Stabbed in Broad Daylight in Yankees Stadium Subway Station

The NYPD is asking for the public’s assistance locating the man seen in the attached video and photos who is sought in connection with a reported daylight stabbing that occurred in the Yankees Stadium subway station.

Police said, “On Sunday, Aug. 7, at approximately 13.30 hours, inside of the 161 St-Yankee Stadium subway station, a 33-year-old male was on the escalator when an unidentified male stabbed him with an unknown object in the back.” The NYPD spokesperson added, “The victim sustained a puncture wound and was transported by EMS to Lincoln Hospital in stable condition. The male fled on foot out of the subway station.”

Police said the incident occurred “on escalator from [the] D line going to the 4 line.”

On Aug.8, pursuant to an ongoing investigation, detectives submitted additional surveillance video and photos, which are attached.
