UPDATE Kingsbridge Heights: 16-Year-Old Girl Reported Missing Now Found

The NYPD said a 16-year-old girl reported missing from Kingsbridge Heights has been found.

 

The police had been appealing to the public for help locating the teen who had been reported missing on Friday, Oct. 20, and who, prior to being located, had last been seen in Washington Heights in Manhattan.

 

Prior to being located, police said Samara Fernandez of Cannon Place in The Bronx, just south of Van Cortlandt Village, had last been seen on Monday, Oct. 16, at around 6 p.m. at her grandmother’s home, located at 2204 Amsterdam Avenue in Manhattan. They said she was described as female, Hispanic, 5 feet tall, weighing 100 pounds, with a medium complexion, a thin build, brown hair and brown eyes. Prior to being located, they said she had last been seen wearing a black jacket and black jeans.
