One person has been hospitalized following a car accident in the Allerton section of The Bronx, according to the City’s fire department.
FDNY officials said they received a call on Wednesday, Feb. 12, at 5.29 p.m. for a report of motor vehicle crash at Holland Avenue and Boston Road. They said EMS responded and transported one patient to Jacobi Medical Center in Morris Park.
The NYPD later confirmed the collision was reported to police on Wednesday, Feb. 12, at around 5.15 p.m. They said a 46-year-old man driving a 2025 Audi was stopped at a light on Boston Road in the vicinity of Fish Avenue, whe a 33-year-old man driving a 2010 Honda stopped directly behind the Audi. They said an unknown third vehicle collided with the Honda which caused the Honda to, in turn, collide with the Audi. They said the third vehicle fled the scene.

In collision investigations, the NYPD handles all criminal aspects of the investigation, while NYC Department of Transportation (DOT) reviews the street design at the locations of such crashes.
