The NYPD has arrested a 19-year-old male in connection to a borough-wide robbery pattern identified at various Bronx businesses in the 42nd, 44th, 46th, 48th and 49th precincts.
The department asked for the public’s help identifying the individual seen in the attached surveillance photos who had been sought for questioning in connection with the various incidents.
It was reported to police that between Thursday, Feb. 17, and Sunday, Feb. 20, between the hours of 5.49 p.m. and 7.10 p.m., the suspect entered multiple commercial establishments ranging from Taco Bell and McDonald’s to Subway, Dunkin’ Donuts, and some drug stores and carried out a series of robberies.
Once inside each business, he demanded cash from the cash register and from the employees, while simulating a gun. He later fled in a green BMW to parts unknown. The suspect stole approximately $1,180 in cash and property. There were no injuries reported as a result of the incidents.
He was described as male, was in his 20s, with a medium complexion, and prior to his arrest, had last been seen wearing a black, hooded sweatshirt with the word “CHAOS” written on the front, gray pants, and a black face mask.
Surveillance photos of the individual and the green BMW are attached. Police said the photos taken of the individual are from both Subway Restaurant and Dunkin’ Donuts.
On Saturday, Feb. 26, the NYPD announced that Sincere Green, 19, of the West Farms section of The Bronx had been charged with 5 counts of robbery.
