Update: 13-Year-Old Missing Girl in Fordham Heights is Home and Safe

The New York City Police Department confirmed on March 14, 2021 that a 13-year-old girl who had been reported missing in Fordham Heights is home and safe. Police had been seeking the public’s assistance in locating Sharon Nesmith Shanajah, 13, of 365 Ford Street in Fordham Heights, in the 46th precinct.

 

It had been reported to the police that Sharon had last been seen on Tuesday, March 9, 2021 at approximately 6.30 p.m., inside her home. She was described as being approximately 5 feet, 5 inches tall, weighs 145 pounds, is of a medium build and has a dark complexion, brown eyes and black hair.

 

She had last been seen wearing a light blue coat, black pants, a blue back pack and gold sneakers.

 

Norwood News followed up with the NYPD to check on Sharon’s status and we were informed on March 14 that she is now home and safe.
