University Heights: Police Appeal to Public for Help following Armed Robbery

Officers from the 52nd precinct are asking for the public’s help in identifying the person seen in the attached video and photograph who is sought for questioning in connection with a robbery that occurred in University Heights.

 

It was reported to police that on Friday, Dec. 10, at approximately 10.55 a.m., inside the store, Antillana, located at 124 West Fordham Road, the individual began to take grocery items of an unknown value from the store without paying for them.

 

When a store employee approached the person to try and recover the items, the suspect displayed a firearm and fled on foot, with the stolen property, southbound towards 183rd Street. No injuries were reported as a result of the incident.

 

The suspect is described as male, and was last seen wearing a multicolored jacket, dark colored pants, multicolored sneakers and a black surgical mask.
