The NYPD is asking for the public’s help identifying and locating the person seen in the attached photo who they say is wanted for questioning in connection to a robbery that occurred in University Heights.
Police said that on Tuesday, Dec. 17, 2024, at around 10 a.m. inside a business (deli) located at 51 West 183rd Street, an unidentified person displayed a machete and demanded goods from the employee. They said the suspect stole store merchandise and then fled on foot to parts unknown. They said there were no reported injuries as a result of the incident.
Police said the person sought is described as male, has a light complexion, is around 5 feet, 7 inches tall, and weighs 150 pounds. They said he was last seen wearing a black hat, a multi-colored sweatshirt, black pants, and grey sneakers.
