One person was transported to hospital following a motor vehicle collision in the University Heights section of The Bronx at the weekend, police and EMS officials said.
An NYPD spokesperson said that on Saturday, May 11, at around 3.18 p.m., a 49-year-old man reported to police that he was driving westbound on West Fordham Road and Sedgwick Avenue in a 2007 Infiniti SUV when he collided with a two-wheeled vehicle driven by a 22-year-old male.
“Both vehicles were damaged in the collision,” the spokesperson said. “The 22-year-old male was transported by EMS to St. Barnabas Hospital in stable condition with injuries to his neck and leg.”
Meanwhile, FDNY/EMS said they received a call at 3.19 p.m. on May 11 regarding a person who had been struck by a vehicle at West Fordham Road and Sedgwick Avenue. Department officials reiterated that one person was transported to St. Barnabas Hospital, and that their condition was unknown.
