University Heights: Man Sought for Nonfatal Shooting of 25-Year-Old Man

The NYPD is asking for the public’s help identifying and locating the person seen in the attached video and photos who they say is sought for questioning in connection with a nonfatal shooting that occurred in University Heights.

 

Police said that on Saturday, Aug. 24, at around 4.30 p.m., a 25-year-old male victim was standing in front of 1917 Andrews Avenue when an unidentified person fired multiple shots, striking the victim throughout the body.

They said the suspect fled the location on foot, heading southbound on Andrews Avenue and that EMS responded and transported the victim to NYC Health and Hospitals/Lincoln in stable condition.

 

Police said the suspect is described as male, has a slim build, is around 5 feet, 10 inches tall, has dreadlocks, glasses, and partial facial hair. They said he was last seen wearing a black, Nike, hooded sweatshirt, black sweatpants, and light-colored sneakers.
