Police said that an 18-year-old male was accidentally struck in the chest by a lit firework on Wednesday, Jun. 17, 2020 at 00:56 a.m. in front of 2410 University Avenue, within the confines of the 52nd precinct.
EMS responded and the person was transported to NY Presbyterian Hospital.
At this time is it unclear if the man was targeted by someone with the fireworks or not. The man’s injuries are not considered life-threatening.
