University Heights: Man, 30, Fatally Shot

A 30-year-old man has died following a shooting in University Heights.

 

Police said that on Thursday, Sept. 7, at around 9.12 p.m., officers from the 46th Precinct responded to a 911 call regarding a man who had been shot in front of 1955 Sedgwick Avenue.

 

“Upon arrival, officers observed a 30-year-old male with multiple gunshot wounds to his torso,” an NYPD spokesperson said. “EMS transported the male to St. Barnabas Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased. There are no arrests and the investigation remains ongoing.”

The deceased has been identified as Angel Rojas of Sedgwick Avenue in the University Heights section of The Bronx.
