The NYPD said a 29-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a multiple shooting incident that occurred in University Heights in May 2022 in which a 28-year-old man was shot.
As reported, police had been asking for the public’s assistance identifying the people seen in the attached photographs who were sought for questioning in connection to the incident.
Police said that on Monday, May 9, at around 3.15 a.m., in front of 140 West Fordham Road, three unidentified individuals displayed a gun and fired it multiple times, striking the 28-year-old man twice in the leg.
The victim was transported by private means to St. Barnabas Hospital in stable condition.
On Wednesday, Feb. 8, pursuant to an ongoing investigation, police said that Leonel Tejeda-Reynoso, 29, of East Tremont Avenue from the Mt. Hope section of The Bronx was arrested on Saturday, Feb. 4, in the 52nd Precinct. He was charged with attempted murder, assault, criminal possession of a weapon, and reckless endangerment.
A person arrested and charged with a crime is deemed innocent unless and until convicted in a court of law.
