The New York City Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance identifying the individual seen in the attached video who is sought in connection with a robbery that occurred in University Heights, in the 52nd precinct.
It was reported to police that on Monday Oct. 25, at approximately 6 p.m., at Five Star Tire Shop located at 2409 Jerome Avenue, two unknown individuals approached two 29-year-old men and displayed a firearm.
The two suspects removed two necklaces from the neck of each victim and fled on foot, southbound, on Jerome Avenue towards East 184th Street. The total value of the stolen property is $2,050. No injuries were reported.
The individual seen in the attached video is described as a light-skinned male who was last seen wearing a black sweatshirt with a Nike logo on the front, black shorts and green/white sneakers.
On Tuesday, Nov. 2, the NYPD released a photo of the individual, adding that it was taken as he was walking northbound on Jerome Avenue from North Street, shortly after the incident. The photo is attached.
