Two Sought in Bronx Robbery Pattern

The NYPD is asking for the public’s help locating the two people seen in the attached photos who they say are sought in connection to a robbery pattern that has been identified across The Bronx.

 

Regarding the first incident, police said that on Monday, July 17, at around 5.15 p.m., the victim, a 41-year-old woman, was walking in front of 1875 University Avenue in Morris Heights when she was approached by two unknown individuals on a motorcycle/e-bike. They said the two pushed the victim into a wall, bit her, and then stole the victim’s necklace and bracelet. Police said they then fled northbound on University Avenue on the same vehicle. They said the victim suffered minor injuries and was treated at the scene by EMS.

 

Police said the second incident was reported as having occurred on Wednesday, July 19, when at approximately 3.15 p.m., the victim, a 23-year-old woman, was walking in front of 2317 Hughes Avenue in Belmont when she was approached by two unidentified people on a motorcycle / e-bike.

They said the two stole the victim’s necklace causing minor injuries to her face and then fled in an unknown direction on the same vehicle. They said the victim refused medical attention.

 

Police said a third incident was reported as having occurred on Saturday, July 15, at approximately 6.15 p.m. in Bedford Park, when two unidentified people approached a 14-year-old female victim at 215 East 197th Street. They said one of the two assailants grabbed the victim’s chain from around her neck and stole it along with her wallet, before fleeing on a moped southbound on Valentine Avenue. They said EMS responded and treated the victim for minor injuries at the scene.

 

Police said a fourth incident was reported on Thursday, July 20, at around 3.27 p.m. when two unidentified people approached a 34-year-old female victim in the vicinity of Ogden Avenue and West 170th Street in Highbridge. They said one of the two grabbed the victim’s chain from around her neck and then fled westbound on West 170th Street. They said EMS responded and treated the victim for minor injuries at the scene.
