Two Sought for Armed Robbery & Attempted Armed Robbery of Livery Drivers

The NYPD is asking for the public’s help identifying the people seen in the attached video and photos who department officials say are sought for questioning in connection with an armed robbery and attempted armed robbery pattern identified across the 52nd and 47th Precincts in April.

 

Police said the first incident was reported in the 47th Precinct in the Wakefield section of The Bronx. An NYPD spokesperson said that on Friday, April 21, at around 11.30 p.m., in front of 659 East 240th Street, a 38-year-old female livery driver was dropping off two unidentified passengers at the location, when they displayed a gun and demanded the victim’s property.

 

According to police, the driver did not comply and the two fled on foot. The victim did not sustain any physical injuries as a result of the incident and no property was stolen, police said.

According to the NYPD, the second incident was reported in the 52nd Precinct in the Bedford Park section of the borough. Police said that on Saturday, April 22, at around 2.15 a.m., in front of 253 East 202nd Street, a 51-year-old male livery driver was driving two passengers to their destination when they displayed a gun and demanded his property.

 

According to police, the two stole the victim’s cell phone, tablet, and $300 before fleeing on foot westbound on the Grand Concourse. The victim did not sustain any physical injuries as a result of the incident, police said.

 

An NYPD spokesperson said the first suspect is described as male, is around 20 years old, has a light complexion, is around 5 feet, 6 inches tall, and has a thin build. He was last seen wearing a gray, hooded sweatshirt, a black jacket, blue jeans, and black sneakers.

 

Police said the second suspect is also described as male, is also around 20 years old, has a dark complexion, is around 6 feet tall, and has a thin build. They said he was last seen wearing a gray, hooded sweatshirt, gray sweatpants, and white sneakers.
