Two Men Sought in Bedford Park Shooting

Police are looking for two men who they say shot a woman as she was walking with her boyfriend in Bedford Park. According to the NYPD, the incident was reported at 3.09 a.m. on Sunday, Aug. 23, at Bainbridge Avenue and East 199th Street.

 

The NYPD source said, “An 18-year-old female was walking with her boyfriend when two unknown men exited a vehicle and discharged several rounds.” The unidentified victim was shot in the right arm and was transported to St. Barnabas Hospital in a stable condition.

 

According to the police source, the suspects fled in the vehicle and police have no suspects, but ballistic evidence was recovered from the scene. The source, referring to the teen who was shot added, “It’s unknown if she was the intended target.”

 

At the time the incident was reported, police were looking for a black Toyota sedan, occupied by four men.
