Building applications have been filed with NYC Department of Buildings (DOB) for a new, eight-story, residential building located at 2081 Anthony Avenue in the Tremont section of The Bronx, as reported by YIMBY.

Located at the intersection of East 180th Street and Anthony Avenue, the lot is two blocks south of the 182nd-183rd Street subway station, which serves the B and D trains.

According to YIMBY, Moses Freund of The Vaja Group is listed as the owner behind the applications. The proposed 84-foot-tall development will yield 25,950 square feet designated for residential space. The building will have 38 residential units, most likely rentals based on the average unit scope of 682 square feet, and there will be no accessory parking in the concrete-based structure.

S. Wieder Architect is listed as the architect of record.

Demolition permits were filed last month for the existing, two-story building at the site. An estimated completion date for the new building has not yet been announced.
